Armin Frederic Koring, age 69, of 96 Orchard Dr., Worthington Wednesday, December 10, 1980 at Riverside Hospital. Retired from Dresser Industries-Jeffrey Mining Machinery Division. Advertising manager, Administrative Sales Department, after 35 years of service in engineering and sales. Survived by wife, Jane, and mother-in-law, Marie Wooters; 2 brothers, Arthur Koring of Forsyth, Missouri and Paul Koring of Faribault, Minnesota; sister, Elsie Hafemeyer of Faribault, Minnesota; nieces and nephews. Member and retired senior deacon of the First Congregational Church, Columbus. Graduate of Parochial School, Nerstrand, Minnesota. Also a graduate of Faribault, Minnesota High School, Indiana Business College, Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Illinois, Ohio State University in Mechanical Engineering. Veteran of World War II. Gunnery instructor. Graduate of US Army Air Corp-Armor and Gunnery Schools, Central Instructors School, Ft. Myers, Florida. Member of New England Lodge No. 4 F&AM, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Worthington Shrine and Scottish Rite. Member of the Worthington Garden Club, first vice-president Central Ohio Kennel Club of Greater Cincinnati and representative to Pug Dog Club of America. Former president of Purebred Dog Club of America. Former president of Purebred Dog Breeders and Fanciers Association. Member of Ohio Council on Companion Animals, Linden Dog Training Club and Central Indiana Pug Dog Club. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday at the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington. Rev. Chalmers Coe officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Masonic service 7:30 p.m. Friday.
