JONES Martha Idahlia Jones, age 93, Thursday, April 13, 2000 at Whetstone Care Center. Born in Steubenville, Oh., Martha was preceded in death by her parents Bertley B. and Mary Leanna Millison, her sister Helen Ann Kyle (Donald) and her husband of 58 years Elbert G. Jones. Survived by her daughter, Joan Plankell (Thomas); grandchildren, Lori Bricker (John) of Stafford, Va., Jennifer Plankell of Columbus and Eric Plankell (Amy) of Columbus; great-granddaughters, Jaclyn and Teresa Bricker; a niece, nephews and many friends. Martha graduated from North High School and attended OSU. She was a longtime member of Neil Avenue United Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. For nearly 40 years, she has been a member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church, where she served as deacon and in the sewing circle. She was a homemaker for most of her adult life, but also worked at the Union Department Store. Her family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 16 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington. A Memorial Service will be held at Overbrook Presbyterian Church Monday, April 17 at 11 a.m. Rev. William Leety officiating. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the music fund of Overbrook Church in her memory.
