JEWETT Ronald D. Jewett, age 85, of Worthington, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Ronald was born December 4, 1926 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Cy and Mildred Jewett. He was also preceded in death by his brother and best friend Wayne Jewett. A graduate of Worthington High School, Class of 1944, he later retired after 46 years from Ohio State Bank, and was a member and Head Usher of Franklin United Brethren Church. Ronald never met a stranger, had a wonderful sense of humor and a passion for photo albums and old movies. His greatest joy was spending time with his immediate and extended family. He is survived by his wife, whom he adored for 61 years, Margaret Samuel Jewett; had a special bond with each of his three children, Ronald K. (Joy) Jewett, Dennis R. (Janice) Jewett and Esther K. Jewett. His pride and joy, grandchildren, Christy, Rebecca, David (Heather), Timothy (Virginia), Laura and Casey. He had five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Mason, Hailey, Anna, Alice; and four step-great-grandchildren. He had a close relationship with nephews, Ken, Greg and Kirk; and a surrougate grandfather to great-niece, Sarah and great-nephews, Philip and Kyle. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Clarabel Harlan and Marjorie Parks. The family will welcome friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, September 18 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, Ohio 43085, and one (1) hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Franklin United Brethren Church, 7171 Central College Rd., New Albany, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Mike Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions may be made to Franklin United Brethren Church.
