HOVEY Nancy Wilson Hovey, age 73, of Columbus, died Friday, May 2, 2003 at Riverside Methodist Hospital after a brief illness. She was born April 22, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Robert and Kathryn (Fitzgerald) Wilson. Upon graduation from Solon High School, she attended Miami University and transferred to The Ohio State University where she received her degree in elementary education in 1952. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and the Columbus Alumnae Chapter. She taught Special Education and reading in Columbus Public Schools for many years, until her retirement in 1985. She volunteered for and was a member of the Worthington Historical Society and a member of ProMusica Sustaining Board. She also served as a volunteer with Beechwold Twig 50 at Children's Hospital for many years. She was a devoted friend, sister, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her brother Jack Fitzgerald Wilson. Nancy is survived by her children, Peter W. Linzell of Columbus, Kathryn L. (Richard W.) Blanks of Atlanta, GA, Robert S. (Rose S.) Linzell of McNeill, MS, and Thomas J. Linzell of Columbus; grandchildren, William Linzell Blanks, Rachel Walcott Blanks, and Albert James Linzell; brother, Lee Wilson of Columbus; step-sister, Carol Lawrence of Cincinnati, OH; step-brother, John (Phyllis) Kuekes of Columbus, NC; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Monday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where the Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003. A private internment will be held for the family at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
