Jean MacAlpine Houston, a resident of Friendship Village, Columbus, formerly a long time resident of Worthington, died Sunday, January 2, 2000 at St. Ann's Hospital. She was the wife of Wilson G. Houston for 60 years. Preceded in death by infant son John C. Houston. Survived by her husband; daughter, Deborah Houston Payne and son-in-law, Gary S. Payne; grandchildren, Whitney and Parker, all of Austin, Tex.; son, Rodney G. Houston and wife, Cathy of Ilfeld, N.M. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at Worthington Presbyterian Church, 773 High St., Worthington, OH, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Dr. Philip M. Hazelton officiating. A private burial will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
