HISER Norma F. Hiser, 92, formerly of Buckeye Lake, died on Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 5:05 a.m. in the Hearth and Home Center of Vandalia. She was born in Logan on January 27, 1912 to the late Jesse and Alice Smith Ralston. She married Lawrence V. Hiser, Sr. on December 24, 1937 in Richmond, IN; he preceded her in death in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Kondik of Belchertown, MA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence V. and Ione Hiser, Jr. of Cypress, TX, Donald L. and Barbara Hiser of Covington; two grandchildren, Fritz B. Hiser, Heather D. Naegele; and a sister and brother-in-law, June and Kenneth Fairbanks of Springfield. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Mrs. Hiser obtained her degree in education from Ohio University and was an elementary school teacher for the Whitehall School District over twenty-two years. She was a member of the Millersport United Methodist Church, Franklin County Teachers Association, Ohio Education Association, and Order of the Eastern Star #76 of Logan where she served as Past Worthy Matron. A private graveside funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington.
