HILL John Burton Hill, 90, passed away December 2, 2011 in Naples, Florida. Born in Bellville, Ohio, he was raised and spent most of his life in Worthington, Ohio. John served honorably in the US Army Air Corps in WWII as a Carrier Pilot. After WWII he returned to Ohio State University to complete his degree in business. His career path led him to become a Realtor/Broker and developer in North Columbus and Worthington. As a member of The Columbus Board of Realtors, he served as President in 1970. He also served as a Shriner, 32nd degree Mason, Cardinal Booster and Kiwanis. He was an avid golfer and a member of Brookside Country Club, Imperial Country Club, and a 48er in Gasparillo Florida. In Naples, he was a member of QB's, Quiet Birds, a fraternity of past and present pilots. He also volunteered at Naples Community Hospital where he jokingly said he performed "brain surgery". John is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Ruth McDaniel, Betty Goehagen, and Jim Hill, his first wife Kathleen, second wife Mary, and son Daniel D. Hill. John leaves behind his wife, Billie Jean; daughter-in-law, Marti Hill; and children, Anne (Don) Russell of Granville, Ohio, Stephanie (Jim) McCue of New Hope, PA., and Patti Pursel of Easton, PA. John had ten loving grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, as well as many caring friends and extended family members that respected and loved him. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Judes Hospital or to a Hospice of your choice. A memorial for a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
