Carmel, Ann F. Heischman, 93, passed away February 8, 2011. Born Anna Elizabeth Francy in Toronto, Ohio, eldest of six, she graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1938. She married Ray Heischman in 1940 and raised three children in Worthington, Ohio. Ann moved to Carmel in 1973 and lived near River Beach. She volunteered with Community Hospital Auxiliary, and was among the first docents at Monterey Bay Aquarium. She was a member of Carmel Presbyterian Church and past member of Monterey Peninsula Country Club. An reveled in the natural beauty of the area; walked Scenic Drive daily and Point Lobos weekly. She knew the best places to find wildflowers and all their names; was the first to spot an otter or hawk and tell you what it was up to. Ann moved to Canterbury Woods in Pacific Grove in 1993. She enjoyed independence, good health, and the pleasures of family and friends for many years there. Ann died peacefully, of complications following a stroke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Heischman and brothers, James and William Francy. She is survived by her sisters, Ruth Martt and Macy Cooke of Ohio; brother Guy Francy of Oregon; sons, tom of Doha, Qatar, and Bob (wife, Denise) of Honeoye Falls, NY; daughter, Nancy of Aptos, CA, granddaughter, Melissa of New York; and 26 nieces and nephews and their children. A Memorial Service will be held at Canterbuy Woods, February 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Point Lobos Foundation, Route One, Box 62, Carmel, CA,
