HEDGE John F. "Frank" Hedge Sr., age 90, of Worthington, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born November 29, 1918 in Akron, Oh. to the late James C. and Marie (Kohr) Hedge. He was a retired Engineer from Denison Engineering and World War II U.S. Army Veteran. Frank was a 1942 Graduate of The Ohio State University and loyal Buckeye fan. His memberships included the 1918 Club, Society of Automotive Engineers, Denison "Old-Timer's" Club, a long-time member of the Worthington Presbyterian Church and Men's Club. He was an Eagle Scout, avid golfer and active in the Worthington Senior Center. He will be remembered as a family man and gentleman with a quick wit and sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his wife Marguerite (Pettigrew) Hedge and brother James Hedge. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Roger Wooten; sons and daughters-in-law, John F., Jr. "Jack" and Judy Hedge, Steve and Diane Hedge; grandchildren, John (Wendy), Robert, Andrew, Blake and Cory Hedge; sisters, Eileen Groves of Sebring, Oh. and Donna Beery of Woodsfield, Oh.; brother, Glen (Shirley) Hedge of Dublin, Oh.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heart-felt appreciation to the care givers of Sunrise at The Scioto for their kindness. Family and friends may call at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Oh. 43085 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, September 27. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 28 at the Worthington Presbyterian Church, 773 High St., Worthington, Oh. with Rev. Jeffrey DeYoe officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery with a reception following at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
