Helen Anne Hardy (née Boles), 1923-1972

Memorial service for Helen Anne Hardy, 48, of Chardon, Ohio will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Episcopal Church, 700 High St., Worthington. Mrs. Hardy worked with the Geauga County chapter of the American Cancer Society for several years before discovering late last year that she had the disease. She died at 3 a.m. Saturday at the Chardon hospital. Her husband, W. B. Hardy Jr., is vice president of the Western Reserve Telephone Co., a subsidiary of the Mid-Continent Telephone Co. Boles, of 2750 Crafton Pk., retired from The Ohio Co. in 1966 and is no a financial consultant at 8 E. Long St. Survivors also include her mother, Mrs. Katherine Boles, and brother, Dr. Ewing Thomas Boles Jr. of 2350 Onandaga Dr. Calling hours will be from 7-9 Sunday at the Burr Funeral Home, Chardon. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church Chardon. A private burial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington. Friends may contribute to Children's Hospital, St. Johns Episcopal Church or the Geauga County chapter of the American Cancer Society, if they wish.
