Vice President of Harding Hospital and Senior Staff Psychiatrist. Nephew of President Harding. Veteran US Navy WWII. Survived by wife, Shirley Akers Harding; children, Abigail Harding, Charles Hoxworth Harding, Deborah Freed and Suzannah Harding Spencer; grandchildren, Jennifer, Aaron, Kathryn, Mark, Elizabeth and Sarah; sisters, Ruth Evans and Mary Hoffman. Member of Worthington Presbyterian Church, New England Lodge No. 4 F&AM, Scioto Consistory AASR, Scottish Rite, Aladdin Temple Shrine, AMA Life Fellow APA, Columbus Academy of Medicine, American Geriatric Assn. Founding member Columbus Area Council on Alcoholism. Past president Medical Symposium, Board member Park Federal and Freedom Federal Savings and Loan. Graduate of Otterbein College. Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Worthington Presbyterian Church, Chaplin George Gibbs and Dr. Lorrin Kreider officiating. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. Sunday at the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Harding Hospital Memorial Fund.
