Veteran WWI - Earl M. Hard, age 93, long-time Worthington resident, died Friday July 22, 1983, at Monterey Nursing Home. Retired postal clerk. Preceded in death by wife Louella. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Nadina Hard, Grove City, Dr. Edward and June Hard, Worthington; daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary and Robert Kemp, Sun City, Ariz., Margaret and James Sinkey, Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Shoemaker and Ona Smith, both of Columbus, Member of Grove City United Methodist Church, American Legion Post No. 239, Worthington, life member W.C.T.U., Veteran World War I. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St., Worthington, Rev. Larry Hard (nephew) and Rev. Carl Wiley officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
