Ardis North Hamilton, age 94, a longtime resident of Worthington, died Friday, February 2, 1996 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Hamilton in 1968. Survived by her daughter, Ardis H. Huss of Minot, N.D.; son and daughter-in-law, Richard N. and Jacquelyn Hamilton of Richmond, Va.; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara H. and Richard W. Mack of Valley City, Oh.; Betty H. and William M. Busey of Vienna, Va.; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and brother, Harold L. North of Palo Alto, Calif. Born in Bayard, Neb. in 1901 and later homesteaded with her parents in eastern Wyoming; taught in a one-room schoolhouse in rural Wyoming, earning her tuition to the Ohio State University, which she entered in 1920, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1926. A member from 1931 of Indianola Presbyterian Church, serving on the Session and Board of Deacons. Past President of PEO Sisterhood, Chapter N. Past President of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 1996 at Indianola Presbyterian Church, 1970 Waldeck Ave., where family will receive friends following the service. Rev. Robert A. Harris officiating. Private interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
