Herman Jay Hackney, age 71, of Columbus, died Wednesday November 7, 1990 at home. He was a retired teamster with Atlas Transfer. Survived by wife Ella Sue; children Delores and John Stanley, West Jefferson, Jack and Sue, Dean and Betty Hackney, Plain City, Ruby and Ronald Jester, Hilliard, Gerald and Miriam, Massachusetts, Jim and Diane Hackney, Plain City and Mary Smith, Columbus; fifteen grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother Willis of Florida; sisters Louis Radabaugh and Florine Mulronie of Dayton. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, where services will be held Saturday November 10, 1990 at 11 a.m. Pastor Gerald Haubrich officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to Hospice at Riverside in his memory, 3100 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, 43202.
