Herbert Francis Hackbarth, age 85, of Powell, formerly of Worthington, on Monday, March 6, 2006 at Yorkland Park Care Center. Retired Chief Engineer for Consolidated Kinetics Corporation with 30 years of service. Member of the Ohio State University Alumni Association and Worthington Presbyterian Church. Veteran US Army, WWII, Philippines. Preceded in death by son Dr. Terry Hackbarth, parents Herbert E. an Helen Hackbarth, brother Robert Hackbarth. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Elaine F. Hackbarth; devoted daughter, Deborah DePew, Lloyd G. DePew; grandsons, Brian, Alan, Adam and Colin DePew, Greg Hackbarth; brothers, Richard and Harry Hackbarth; sister, Mary Ann (Charles) Albrecht; sister-in-law, Rosemary Hackbarth; nieces and nephews. Graveside service with military honors at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
