Dr. Meredith P. Gilpatrick, age 72, of 212 West Riverglen Drive, Riverlea, Saturday, Riverside Hospital. Retired Archivist for the State of Ohio. Survived by wife, Kathleen Kennan Gilpatrick; daughter, Mrs. Richard (Rosalyn) Cross, Columbus; step-daughter, Mrs. Sherman (Barbara) Constantine, St. Louis Missouri; grandsons, Kyle and Clint Cross; granddaughter, Julia Cross, Columbus. Member of St. John's Episcopal Church, graduate of University of Southern California, L.L.B., received PhD in International Relations from the University of Chicago, former attaché at the US Embassy in China, former faculty member of Williams and Beloit Colleges, and Ohio State University, taught in Austria 1951 to 1952 as a Fulbright professor in Innsbruck and Vienna. Service 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. John's Episcopal Church, Father Darwin Ralston officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St., Worthington. Friends who wish may contribute to St. John's Episcopal Church.
