GATTON Norene Hill Gatton, age 91, of Tampa, Fla., died Monday, May 1, 2000 at Lakeshore Villas, in Tampa. A native of Marion, Oh., she resided in Columbus before moving to Tampa in 1993. Norene was a retired Office Manager for the Columbus YMCA. She was a member of Palma Ceia United Methodist Church in Tampa and also a member and former Trustee of The Clintonville Woman's Club in Columbus. Norene is preceded in death by her husband Harry Gatton. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and James B. Heck of Tampa; son and daughter-in-law, David F. and Judith K. Gatton of Palm Desert, Calif.; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 12 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, Oh., 614-885-4006, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2000. Rev. William R. Leety officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to the Columbus Cancer Clinic or Palma Ceia United Methodist Church in Norene's memory.
