Lee W. Garver, age 81, retired fuel engineer, of Worthington, Ohio. Born in Hamilton, Ohio. Graduated in 1927 from the Ohio State University as a mechanical engineer. Alumni member of the marching band. Member of the Worthington United Methodist Church, Worthington Historical Society, the Ohio Historical Society, New England Lodge No. 4 F&AM and Tau Beta Pi. Serviced the Babe Ruth League as a coach and the Boy Scouts as a Railroading Merit Badge Counselor. Survived by wife, Ruth; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Karen Garver, Omaha, Nebraska; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and David Bell, Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Lee A. Garver, Valerie Garver and Peter Bell; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Mabel Garver, Mesa, Arizona; nieces, Linda Galatro, of Merced, Calif. And Carol Richmond, of Mesa, Arizona and sister-in-law, Edith Bippus, Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Worthington United Methodist Church. Dr. W. Edge Dixon officiating. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High St., Worthington. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worthington United Methodist Church Bell Choirs, Central Ohio Council of Campfire, Inc. or the Columbus Cancer Clinic. Masonic service 8 p.m. Monday.
