Claude Garrison, 90, of 5155 High Street, Columbus at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired minister of the United Methodist Church. Entered ministry in 1924 and retired in 1974. Former pastor of Mishewaka (Indiana), King Avenue and Worthington churches. District Superintendent of Cincinnati and Columbus Districts. Member of New England No. 4 F&AM Scioto Consistory AASR and the Columbus Athletic Club. Former Executive Director of Metropolitan Area Church Board. Former member of South Side Settlement, Riverside Methodist Hospital, and Wesley Glen Boards. Charter and Honorary Trustee of Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Preceded in death by wife, Eilene. Survived by son, Rev. R. Ben Garrison; daughters, Mrs. George (Sue) Callendine of Worthington, Mrs. Charles K. (Nan) Diener of Upper Arlington; brother, Bishop Edwin R. Garrison; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St., Worthington where friends may call at 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, and after Memorial Service at Worthington United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Robert Chiles, Rev. Ralph Shunk, Rev. Harold Williams, and Richard Trelease. Private interment services in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
