Byron R. Foucht, age 79, of 225 Webster Park, Sunday, Dec. 23, 1979, Riverside Hospital. Son of the late Albert and Lillian Foucht of Glenford, Ohio. Member of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 50 year member of Thornville Lodge No. 521 F&AM and Eastern Star No. 156. A current member of the National Ass'n of Retired Teachers. Bryon received his BA from Heidelberg College, Tiffin, Ohio and MA in School Administration from Ohio State University. He was a former School Administrator, Teacher and Coach in the Public Schools of Ohio for 41 years. As a Coach in 1925, he brought the first Glenford basketball team to the state finals. Byron's musical talents included participation in college glee clubs, church choirs and local community bands. His most important role was a husband and father. Byron is survived by wife, Pauline (Tavenner) Foucht; children, (Marilyn) Holcomb; grandson, Jamie of Canal Winchester; son, Byron Robert and wife, Doris of Beverly, Mass., Nelson Eugene and wife, Peggy and grandchildren, Kathryn and Allen of Arden Rd., Columbus; sister-in-law, Mrs. Evelyn Foucht of Glenford, Ohio. Friends may call at the Southwick Funeral Chapel, 3100 N. High St., Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where service will be held from the memorial chapel Thursday 2 p.m. Masonic Funeral Service Wednesday 7:30 p.m.
