Alva E. Durrett Sr., age 82, of Columbus, Thursday, February 2, 1989, Riverside Hospital. Retired owner, Sunoco Service Station at Erie Rd. and High St. for 37 years. Survived by wife, Inez Outland Durrett; sons and daughters-in-law, Alva E. and Shelly Durrett, Bonita Springs, Fla., Walter J. and Pam Durrett, Sunbury, Oh.; son, John O. Durrett, Columbus; 5 grandchildren. Member of Worthington Lodge Loyal Order of Moose. Former member Brookside Country Club. Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Monday, Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High St., Worthington, where family will receive friends 2-5 p.m. Sunday and 1 hour prior to the service time Monday. Rev. Howard Buckley officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Heart Fund.
