Dallas D. Dupre Jr., age 91, Wesley Glen, Columbus, Thursday, April 17, 1986. Survived by wife, Elizabeth Hendel Dupre; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Dallas III and Barbara, Upper St. Clair, Pa., Charles and Arline, Hamden, Conn., Donald and Sylvia, Columbus; grandchildren, Dallas IV and Karen, Candi and Bill Booker, Chris and Janet, Bevan and Barbara, and Ann, Betsy and Jeff; 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dr. James M. Hendel, Weston, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. Active for many years in his nursery and landscaping business. He later served for 15 years as Chief Landscape Architect, pioneering the development of roadside rest/parks for the State of Ohio. Graduate of the Ohio State University. Served US Navy WWI. Member of North Broadway United Methodist Church, OSU Alumni Assn., Ohio Roadside Council, Old North High Club and charter member of University Club of Columbus and Exchange Club of Columbus. Friends may call Weir-Arend Funeral Home, 4221 N. High St., Sunday 2-5 p.m., where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Howard W. Buckley officiating. Interment Walnut Grove, Worthington. Friends who wish may contribute to Children's Hospital or North Broadway UMC Memorial Fund.
