Merlin T. Denig, age 68, Monday at his home, 196 Roslyn Ave. Retired Superintendent of Roads and Cemeteries in Sharon Twp. Survived by wife, Virginia M. Denig; 3 daughters, Mrs.. Clyde (Betty) King, Delaware, Mrs. Bob (Mary) Garrett, Westerville, and Mrs. William (Ruth) Schurtz, Columbus; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 2 sisters, Mrs. Sally Ross, Worthington, and Mrs. Dorothy Wagner, Columbus. Member of North Linden United Brethren Church. Funeral service, 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends received at Rutherford's 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
