George W. Deckard, age 86, of Columbus died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Villa Angela. Retired Purchasing Agent at Thompson Electronic Supply and Engineer at North American Aviation. Preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Ruth Deckard. Survived by wife, of 62 years, Marguerite "Babs" Deckard; children, Linda A. Cortellesi, Nancy E. Deckard, Thomas W. Deckard and Sarah C. (Greg A>) Cheslock; grandchildren, Alexander R. Cortellesi, Zachary A. Cheslock & Joshua E. Cheslock U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Avid ham Radio Operator, W8NPA for 70 years. Memorial service and reception 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2004 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 30 West Woodruff Avenue, Columbus. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church or Home Reach Hospice, 3535 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
