CHAPIN John Wesley Chapin, age 91, born October 15, 1919 at 108 W. New England Ave, passed away June 17, 2011 at his home. Preceded in death by father Leland, mother Grace, loving wife of 52 years Virginia, and brothers Harold and Robert. Survived by son, Leland (Shannon); granddaughter, Mary Katherine Elisabeth; brother-in-law, David (Jean) Thomas of Findlay; and many nieces and nephews. Retired after 34 years from the Worthington Public Schools. Served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946, and was a member of American Legion Post 888. There will be no visiting hours, only a private graveside service with Arthur Crawford of the Riverside Bible Church. Please omit flowers, as it was John's wish to be remembered in life. Sincere thanks to all his friends, caring neighbors, Worthington Schools kids and parents, healthcare providers, friends at Riverside Bible Church, and most of all to a wonderful Heavenly Father.
