Annabelle Carter, age 81, August 22, 1994, Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Dayton, Ohio, after an extended illness. Graduate of Ohio State University with BS and MS Degrees. Attended the Boston Conservatory of Music and the Department of Music Education, Indiana University. Retired teacher of music Dayton public schools with 37 years of service. Editor of the elementary music publication "Tones on Tones". Accompanist for the combined elementary schools choral presentations. Organist for St. Margaret Episcopal Church and for numerous church weddings. Member of Montgomery Retired Teachers' Association, the American Guild of Organists, Dayton Chapter Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, a number of civic, service, educational and musical organizations. Preceded in death by parents, Charles J. and Belle J. Carter. Survived by sister, Alice Jan Carter Palmer of Columbus; cousins, Octavia Martin of Columbus, Charles (Edith) Jones of Columbia, SC, Abner Jones and Valerie Wilson of Menlo Plan, Calif.; dearest and devoted friends and caregivers, Eleanor and Paula Ramey and Marjorie Hathcock, also known as Annabelle's Dayton Family. Calling hours Sunday 4-6 p.m. at the CROSBY FUNERAL HOME, 2323 E. Fifth Ave. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 29 at St. Philip Episcopal Church, 166 Woodland Avenue. Fr.
