Jean Calvert was born December 15, 1934, in Matoaka, West Virginia, to William and Lala Bailey Akers. Jean graduated from Matoaka High School and attended College in West Virginia. She married James, became the mother of twin girls, and began her career as a dental assistant in Columbus, Ohio. Once her children were grown she pursued a career in real estate and won many accomplished awards. She became the Century 21 top associate in 1981 and 1983, and received two Hall of Fame awards in 1984 and 1985. She also received two All American Realtor awards. She was passionate about preparing home cooked meals, home decorating, and sharing her many talents with family and those she loved. She was the glue and rock of the family. James and Jean Calvert are survived by their twin daughters, Debra Lynd and Kim Moore, son-in-law, David Lynd, grandchildren, Stephanie and Christopher Hamersley, Aaron Moore and wife, Kerrie, Brian and Jeff Moore, Jamie Harr and husband, Jason, children, Rachel, Megan, and Zachary, Lisa Norton and husband, Chris, children, Anna and Christian, and Brooke Lynd. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 9, at 2:00 PM at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 7714 Hazelton-Etna Road, Pataskala, Ohio, with Pastor Wayne Zavotka and Pastor Ann Marie Winters officiating.
