BURWELL Ruth E. Burwell, age 80, of Columbus, died Friday, January 14, 2000 at St. Ann's Hospital. Born September 17, 1919 in Blendon Township to the late Russell J. and Mary Ellen Wilcox Burwell. Ruth was a skilled welder by trade for over 17 years. Independent and out-spoken, Ruth was loved by all. She had a good sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. Preceded in death by her brothers: Otto, Kenneth, John and Carlos Burwell and sister, Hazel Dumm. She is survived by her dearest sister-in-law, Amy Burwell, of Cincinnati and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2000, in the Activities Room of Jaycee Village Apartments, 5905 Beechcroft Rd., Columbus. Rev. David C. Hogg, officiating. Private burial services will be held for the family at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, Ohio Affiliate, 5455 North High St., Columbus, Oh. 43214, in Ruth's memory.
