BRITT Marjorie Morrison Britt, age 84, of Columbus, died Friday, August 25, 2006 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born in Columbus to the late A.R. "Sally" and Carolyn (Kraft) Morrison, she was a decedent of the Kraft and Morrison Families of the Ashville area. A graduate of University High School, Class of 1940, she attended The Ohio State University and married Charles H. Britt, of Columbus, on her birthday September 29, 1942. Together they raised her their four children in Colonial Hills, in Worthington. After raising her family, Marjorie went back to school and earned her credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse, graduating in 1965. She worked at Riverside Methodist Hospital, 4-East, for 15 years before retiring in 1980. In retirement, Marjorie accompanied her husband Charles on his many business trips throughout the United States and Europe. They lived on Liberty Road in Powell for 35 years and were both active in the Powell Historical Society. In January, 2004 they moved to Friendship Village of Columbus, where Marjorie participated in the Chimes Choir and many other activities. Marjorie and Charles have been faithfully attending Linworth Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her aunts and uncles Karl and Lena Kraft, Glen H. and Helen Kraft, Ruth and Ray Ashbrook and Betty and Allen Roetken, all of whom received her loving care in their later years. Marjorie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles H. Britt; children, Carolyn Rebecca (Richard) Block of Chicago, IL, Elizabeth Ann (Joe Six) Marlor of Lewis Center, Charles Morrison (Connie Bonner-Britt) Britt of Mt. Vernon, WA and Robert Ralston (Sharon Kita) Britt of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Carolyn Teresa Marlor of Columbus, Emily Ann Marlor of Seattle, Daniel Ralston (Marta Segal) Block of Chicago, Devora Ruth (Jason) Kimelman-Block of Silver Springs, MD and Aaron David Britt of Los Angles, CA; great grandchildren, Esther Mary Kimelman-Block, Natan Rafael Kimelman-Block, Madeline Sara Block, Simone Kaila Kimelman-Block and Joseph Louis Block; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME at POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, OH 43065 (614) 792-1471. (Funeral home is on Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway.) A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Linworth Baptist Church, 6200 Linworth Road, Worthington, OH 43085, with Pastor George W. Hattenfield officiating. Burial services will be held privately for the family at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington.
