Avery L. Blackard, age 73, 353 E. Clearview Avenue, Worthington, Saturday, Riverside Hospital. Retired Chief Transportation Clerk, C and O Railway at Cleveland, Ohio. Survived by wife Maude S. Blackard; daughter Mrs. Velma B. Maxwell 2 grandchildren, Gary Lee & Becky Lee Maxwell all of Columbus, sister, Mrs. Mayme B. Wooldridge, of Pompano Beach, Florida. Member of the Lakewood Lodge No. 601 F and AM, and Lake Erie Consistory AASR. Funeral service 3 p.m. Monday, RUTHERFORD-CORBIN CHAPEL, 515 High Street, Worthington. Dr. W. Edge Dixon officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
