Retired accountant with 40 years service U.S. Post Office, 58 years member of Linden Church of Christ and Fellowship Class, 50 year member and past master Linden F&AM Lodge 637, R.A.M. Linden Chapter 236, York Council 115, Columbus Cammandry 69 Knight Templar, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Linden Shrine Club, Past Patron Linden Heights Chapter O.E.S. 463, member National Association of Retired Federal Employees 235, Buckeye Republican Club, Franlkin County Republican Club. Survived by wife, Helen; son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. and Mary, Columbus; daughters and son-in-law, Martha Jane and Charles Gardner, Westerville, Mrs. Harry (Helen Louise) Search, Columbus; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Saunders, Springfield, Oh., Mable Pflieger, Fla., Mary Vaughn, New York, Edith Pullin, Columbus; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Saturday 10:30 a.m. Shoemaker Funeral Home 2830 Cleveland Ave. at Lakeview, where friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Brother Max Copeland officiating.
